Denise just started her job in marketing, although she thinks she would be equally suited to a job in the service industry. “I love meeting people from all walks of life and listening to their stories and experiences. And making people happy makes me happy in turn!” While Denise is now much clearer about her current path — she hopes to start her own business related to jewelry, gifting, or fashion one day — she used to fret about her future. “I still do, but much lesser now. If I could go back in time, I’d tell myself: ‘Do not be afraid, the future will take care of itself.’” With that in mind, Denise keeps some advice from her friend close to heart. “He said, ‘Be the hero in your own life, and others’ too. Trust that you can achieve whatever you hold dear to your heart, and always believe.’” In her free time, Denise enjoys playing sports, as well as listening to music, something she’s always enjoyed since childhood. “Is lip syncing considered an unusual hobby?” she shares. “I also enjoy a diverse variety of music from modern to oldies, and some of my favourite artistes are Jason Mraz, The Beatles,  Michael Jackson, and Coldplay, just to name a few.” In fact, when we met, Denise was gearing up for a trip to the UK, and looking forward to catching Coldplay in concert at Wembley Stadium. Her other goals for the year: to be a better, stronger, and more positive person.
