I’m currently working as a headhunter at a boutique executive firm. We help our clients source for candidates in Asia.

What do you enjoy about your work?
I enjoy it when my candidates are offered the job and when clients continue to use our service. 

What is fashion to you?
Fashion is something that complements an individual. We should not conform to trends as not all trends are suitable for everyone. Fashion should be something that brings out an individual’s personality and style.

How would you define your style?
I prefer something that is timeless. I need to dress professionally as my work requires me to meet clients and candidates. I like short hair—it makes me feel free. I kept my hair long for a long time in my twenties because most guys prefer girls with long hair. Subsequently, I decided to just own it and cut my hair short.

What is the most cherished item in your wardrobe?
My watch. It’s the most expensive item I own. It’s not an item that costs a five-figure sum but it’s the first time I got such an expensive watch with my hard-earned money. 

Is there something that you are currently working on being better at?
Yes. I like the lean physique of athletes, so I hope to have six-pack abs and lean limbs. It’s not easy since I also love food and have a sweet tooth. I also hope to always improve in my work, personality and character. I’m very quick tempered. I believe we should always keep an open mind and that learning is for life—just like the Chinese saying ‘活到老， 学到老’, which means that you learn for as long as you live.

Do you practise any self-care habits or routines?
Yes. I’m strict about my skincare routine through proper cleansing, exfoliation and the use of facial masks. Me-time is very important to me. I like working out and reading books written by my root guru. These help with my mental well-being.
