“I’m a power plant operator in Tuas. You know lah, parents in the past want their kids to study in fields like engineering, so I decided to give it a try and now, almost a decade later, I’d say I’ve become quite comfortable in this industry which is why I decided to stick with it.”

“I just returned to Singapore after living in London and Jakarta for more than 10 years, for the sake of work and my parents. I think it’s a good pit stop for me to catch my breath and rethink my life choices, but I feel a constant urge to move, so I probably won’t stay put for long.”

“My calling is to be a coach or teacher. Even my Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) chart says so! I do oracle card readings outside of work and I’ll be conducting meditation and spiritual classes by the end of the year. At the end of the day, I just want to empower, guide, and support others.”

“A lot of the time at work we’re just in autopilot mode to meet other people’s expectations, right? What I really want to achieve this year is inner peace, and to find a balance within myself without caring too much about other people’s judgement.”

“I’ve been with my fiancé, Ian, for close to 10 years now. As cheesy as it sounds, there are rarely any dull moments with him because he always tries his best to make me laugh. We’re getting married soon, so it feels really surreal to start calling him my husband!”

“I’m currently taking a gap year from my full-time marketing work to freelance and have a clean girl aesthetic moment, so I’ve been taking pilates classes, going to the gym, and going for therapy. Basically doing a lot of relaxing.”

“I’ve noticed that my whole aura has changed for the better since I started modelling last year! Through modelling and interacting with other people in the industry, I’ve really come out of my shell and gained a lot more confidence.”

“I’m very close to my second sister. I was the saddest little girl when she got married and the house just doesn’t feel the same without her. Even now when we say goodbye after meeting, I get sad because she’s not going home with me.”

“I’m interested in the arts, but I realised that a job as an artist might not be the most feasible for me. Since leading the media team in some of my school's organisations, I’ve gravitated towards the graphic design field so that's what I'd like to pursue.”

“I’m currently pursuing a diploma in Arts Management, but if I had to pick something else to study, I’d probably be doing something related to game design as I really enjoy playing games like Valorant, although I’m not very good at coding and stuff.”

“I just moved into a new studio with my girlfriend. My goal is for it to be a big open space where I can showcase my illustrative works and things I like to surround myself with, and hopefully one day when it’s done, I can invite people over to share it with.”

“I love travelling—one of my favourite places to visit is Melbourne, Australia, though I don’t get to travel there as often as I’d like to. I just love the vibes, the people, the thrift scene, and the local art and design markets there.”
