Something you enjoy about your job is:
It’s a place that lets me explore and push boundaries, one where I can grow.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
I’ve never thought that far in. It’s always about the now—you can’t ever predict what’s going to happen, so why worry about the future? Everything I do has been about the present, and that’s something I’m not going to change.
Share with us an interesting hobby you have.
I collect shoes—I have quite a sizeable collection back home, which I cap at 50 pairs of shoes. If I hit 50, I’ll try to sell one of them off. I try to wear them all out though. I’m not a collector who puts shoes in display cases, I think they ought to be worn.
Is there a pair of shoes you’d never sell?
I have a pair of Nike Tom Sachs x Mars Yard which has really gone up in value, so I’m saving that one.
How would you describe your sense of style?
I’m very into street style—I’ve always been this way, and now I’m usually the oldest person who’s dressed like this. When I was still working in the heart of CBD, I felt like I was the most colourful person in the crowd. It’s comfortable, while still being very fun.
What would you do if you suddenly received a million dollars?
I never want that much money. More money brings more problems. I’m happy with what I have and I never want more than I can handle.
