Coming Of Age
Work has matured Alexandra, and it shows in the way she dresses as well. “I used to just throw on a t-shirt, shorts, a hoodie, and a pair of sneakers. Now I particularly like button-up shirts and jogger pants, because they feel comfortable and look smart at the same time.” She describes herself as a goal-oriented person, and says that being an interior designer has been one of her goals “since forever”. Nowadays, however, Alexandra is also trying to focus on the here and now. “If I could, I would tell my younger self not to worry so much about what happens in the next five to ten years, and to start living in the moment. I’d definitely like to enjoy more in life and not worry so much about my career and achievements.” Although she’s new to the industry, Alexandra is already learning and daring to be her own designer. “I am rather meticulous when it comes to designing so I spend a lot of time trying to perfect my work, but recently I’ve started to understand that great design doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s your expression as an individual.” When work does get the better of her, Alexandra destresses by playing games and binge-watching old blockbusters like Star Wars or The Lord Of The Rings—all while binging on some of her favourite snacks, of course.
