What are some of your favourite books?
I like books by Jane Austen, but one of my all-time favourites is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. The recent one that I’m reading is a non-fiction book: When Breath Becomes Air, which is actually a biography of a doctor who died from lung cancer. It inspired me a lot and it doesn’t mean that once you’re a doctor, you can’t fall sick or die, so this motivated me to pull through tough days.
What are some things you like to do over the weekend?
I like to go for cycling or for a short trip, like to Batam for the weekend. I do something different with my kids every week—my girl’s nine and my boy is seven and a half years old.
What are some things you can’t live without in your wardrobe?
My hijab, and a lot of turtle necks. I’d describe my style as easygoing, because I’ll just wear anything I like.
If you could do anything in the world, what would it be and why?
I want to go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and stay in a transparent igloo.
If you’re stranded on an island and could only bring three things, what would they be and why?
I’ll bring my kids, books, and some food—healthy fruit and vegetable chips that I like, and also my vitamins.
