How did you get into the media industry?
I was studying communications, so I was interested in media, and it seemed more dynamic in terms of what I could do.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I got my yoga certification last year. It’s something I’m interested in, and I wanted to know more about it so I went to take up a training course.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to chill at home and watch movies, hang out with my friends, or do yoga. I haven’t had the chance to go on a yoga retreat, but it’s something that I want to do this year if possible. I’m thinking of going to Bali to do that. My favourite type of yoga is flow yoga, because it’s more dynamic and it’s faster paced.
What’s your most memorable trip?
I recently went to the United States (US) for a work trip, then I made a solo trip to New York after that. Everyone has New York on their list of places to travel to, but being there really gave me a new perspective. Seeing the Statue of Liberty was pretty interesting, because you hear the stories about how people immigrated to the US long ago, and in that sense Singapore is very much like New York.
What did you do or see in New York that was memorable?
My trip coincided with the LGBT Pride parade, so that was interesting for me. Because we don’t have such huge events in Singapore, seeing the parade and everybody bonding together was an eye-opener for me.
