How did you get into your current line of work?
I was working in finance previously, and then I found out about programmatic advertising and made the switch. I’ve been at my current job since the end of last year, so it’s been about five months. It’s been fun actually—it’s more casual than finance, but it’s not been easy, because I’m doing a lot of new things I haven’t done before, and I had to pick them up quite fast.
Why did you decide to make the switch?
I think I got quite burned out during my time in the finance industry, so I thought it was a good time to try something new. It probably sounds very millennial, but I just jumped at the chance of a job switch, and I don’t regret it.
How would you describe your personal style?
I prefer comfortable clothes—that’s actually a big perk of working in advertising, that I get to dress more casually.
What do you do when you’re feeling overwhelmed?
I listen to my favourite albums—I like indie rock, so I listen to English bands like Foals and Arctic Monkeys. I enjoyed the last Arctic Monkeys album, but I also miss their old music style.
What’s the most recent concert you went to?
I went to watch John Mayer in May. I managed to catch The Kooks when they performed for the Garden Beats Festival back in March, and I thought they were great. I’m planning to go for the Death Cab for Cutie concert later this month too!
