Tell us more about what you’re studying at LASALLE!
I’m studying audio production, and I’m in my second year right now. I chose this course because I’m good at producing music—I actually produce my own hyperpop tracks the side. I’ve been doing this for two years, and I sing as well. Before I got into hyperpop, I started out making my own R&B music.

Cool! Can you tell us more about your personal style?
Actually, the audio production course isn’t very fashionable because we have to move around a lot and carry a lot of heavy stuff, so we only dress up freely on days where we do more theory. For me, I always come to school in baggy jeans and a crop top, sometimes with a fur hat as well. Basically I wear what the I fuck I want (laughs). I’m sorry, but it’s just more comfortable that way!

Yeah, fashion should be be about both form and function. Back to music now—who are some of your favourite bands or artists?
Oh, one of my favourites is SHINSEINA! It’s my classmate’s band—you should check them out. As for myself, I haven’t really realised anything yet, so I can’t give myself a shoutout (laughs).

Hopefully one day we’ll see your name out there! Is music something you’d want got pursue after you graduate?
I would say I’d rather have a nine-to-five job first, while still doing side quests like music. events, and whatever I’m dong right now. It’s very hard to earn a stable income in the arts scene, so I want to have a stable job to be able to sustain my dreams outside of work as well. Eventually, the goal is to pursue arts full time, but not right now. Now, I just need to have more money.

Love the practicality. Finally, what are some of the most exciting projects you’ve done in school thus far?
Working on the LASALLE Rock & Indie Festival (RIF) was fun! We helped with the sound system and stage setup in general, like lights and stuff as well. We also got to work on a few studio projects with some musicians in LASALLE, which was also cool.
