How did you get into advertising?
I don’t know actually. I used to be from the legal industry, then a friend got me in and I haven’t looked back since. The learning curve was very steep in the beginning, but you just need more street smarts—it’s not stuff that you can learn from the books.
My favourite part about my job:
I like the people that I work with, and the creative energy that I’m surrounded by everyday.
Most memorable trip:
Diving in the Maldives. We dived with eight giant manta rays, at night, and they came so close that they were almost touching us.
I’m a mother of two.
My kids will be so proud of me for doing this! They’re 11 and 13 years old. When it comes to spending time with them, my job is pretty flexible so I can actually work from home. But as my kids are older they don’t really want to spend time with me anyway so that’s fine. (laughs)
Best piece of advice I’ve ever received:
What one person can achieve, no matter how smart he or she is, is nothing compared to what you can achieve as a team. This is especially so in my line of work, because one person cannot make everything happen.
