Just when we thought we’d seen it all when it comes to denim, it once again shows us why it’s a perennial favourite and an ever-present classic in the wardrobe. Beyond your straight-cut jeans, there’re so many more ways to wear denim—some of it can even entail a bit of punk-spirited DIY. From violently frayed and distressed edges, to detailed embroidery or prints, all it takes is a little bit of creativity to breathe new life into old threads. While these outfits might be reserved for casual Fridays in some workplaces, it’s easier to make dark-washed denim more office-appropriate. Go denim-on-denim if you’d like to go all-out, or keep the rest of the palette monochrome to have that one piece really pop.
