Having a favourite colour can sometimes leave you stuck with a wardrobe that matches a little too well—but it’s still possible to pull off monochromatic outfits with a little more creativity. One way to do so is to play with form. Here, an oversized shirt or high-waisted pants can make use of different lengths to break up a continuous block. To add a little more punch to your outfit, introduce accessories in a contrasting colour, perhaps a belt or a patterned pair of shoes. You can also create contrast by mixing different forms and textures; pair a slim-fit top with a flowing pleated skirt, or try shades of chambray and denim.
