Cheryl understands that style and image is a part of personal branding. “I personalize my outfits by investing in my accessories, be it jewelry or shoes,” she says. “In my line of work I have to look professional and corporate at all times. I own many classic pieces which I can mix and match.” Her job allows her to meet new people constantly and learn something new from each of them, which she loves, although she says the long hours can be a drawback. “But as the saying goes, no pain, no gain. You need to work hard but also work smart in order to succeed.” If she wasn’t working in recruitment, Cheryl says that she would probably try her hand in public relations or sales and marketing, but if she had her way, this avid fan of diving would love to open a dive resort, eat, sleep, and dive all day. “I try to make as many dive trips a year as I can as the ocean is endless and something that I can never stop exploring!” Other than diving, Cheryl spends her time reading or going to the gym. “I find that running, while it takes discipline, definitely helps my concentration at work.” She also makes time on Sundays to spend quality time with her family. “We try as much as we can to commit to Sunday dinners to catch up with each other.” She finds that that when things get tough, or seem impossible, it helps to have faith. “God will make a way when there seems to no way.”
