Chinese New Year may have just passed us by, but it looks like bright and cheery colours are here to stay for a while longer. Besides declaring Living Coral to be their colour of the year, Pantone has also announced their forecast of trending colours for the Spring/Summer season. The palette is warm but generally muted—while bold hues of chilli red and burnt orange take pride of place in the report, rich golden yellows and earthy greens also won spots on the list. If you’ve been sticking to a largely monochrome wardrobe and aren’t sure where to start, a simple tip is to take note of your skin tone—those with fairer skin will pull off pieces in red and orange tones; while pink, yellow, and green flatter darker complexions.
